One of the biggest milestones in Smethwick ASRA's development has been on the 14th of October 1999 when a new Health and Social Care Centre opened, with a cost of approximately £900,00 to build.

This was the biggest Day Care project taken on by an Asian organisation in the Midlands. The funds were raised through ASRA's own fund raising efforts.

The location is in the heart of the Asian community a prime location which has allowed us to offer a wide range of activities in a stimulating environment.

Activities which take place at ASRA include:

• Daily exercise sessions
• Reminiscence sessions
• Arts and crafts
• Drawing
• Sewing
• Knitting
• Bingo
• Board games
• South Asian newspapers and books
• Watching South Asian television and films. etc
